Final - and first - birthday celebration

We visited Granny and Granddaddy and we celebrated Zoe's 3rd birthday for the last time and Max's 1st birthday for the first time.

Zoe just couldn't be happier at the prospect of getting more cake...and presents! Because you know, the poor thing barely has a thing to play with! She got her first Gator cheerleading outfit and wouldn't take it off for hours! The pom poms actually light up as an added bonus and I tell you what, I've never seen a little girl so happy!

Max started eating real food a couple months ago and hasn't stopped eating since! There is nothing you can put down in front of this boy that he will not eat...including cake! He finished off his dinner of peas, mac-n-cheese, banana, cheerios, and bread AND then had a bunch of cake. That's my boy!

Granny and Granddaddy have a bunch of fruit trees in addition to the cows and donk donks. They also have a ton of grape vines. They've never been able to pick them (the animals or rot get them before the grapes are ripe enough to be picked), but this year was different. We spent some time helping them pick their grapes and had a blast! Zoe was taught to only pick the "dark ones", but some lighter green ones got in the bucket. She always learns something about farming when we're there and loves it.
